Sarah Ardizzone

Sarah Ardizzone is an award-winning translator of voices from across the French-speaking world. Her work spans literary fiction for all ages, as well as memoir, hip-hop lyrics, graphic novels and picture books. She is delighted that The Little Prince, in Joann Sfar’s reimagining of St Exupéry’s classic, is being republished for English-language readers by SelfMadeHero. Other authors include Gaël Faye, Faïza Guène, Daniel Pennac, Timothée de Fombelle and Alexandre Dumas (in a fresh version of The Story of a Nutcracker), as well as author-illustrators Barroux and Marjolaine Leray. Sarah recommends the creative translation approaches of the Stephen Spender Trust and the amazing work of World Kid Lit. Sarah also develops multilingual ‘out of the book’ performances, most recently touring Algeria with Good Chance Theatre’s production of Faïza Guène's Discretion. Her translation of graphic fable Monsters by Stéphane Servant and illustrated by Nicolas Zouliamis is published by Pushkin Press in March 2026.
