The wonderful H.P. Lovecraft Literary Podcast, hosted by Chris Lackey and Chad Fifer, has almost completed its grand tour of Lovecraft’s masterpiece – At the Mountains of Madness – in podcast form.
You get to listen to the novel read in theatrical style by Joe Fria with music by Reber Clark and interjecting into the performed text, like a couple of geeky betentacled docents, are the excellent podcast hosts, Chris Lackey and Chad Fifer. Chris and Chad chip in with their witty and informative concordance to Mountains… in a way that helps fans and first timers to unravel the many allusions and personal prejudices that informed Lovecraft writing.
I.N.J. Culbard, creator of the Eagle Award shortlisted graphic novel of At the Mountains of Madness (SelfMadeHero) also pops up in a couple of the episodes, so look out for him too. I.N.J. Culbard is currently hard at work on another Lovecraft adaptation – The Case of Charles Dexter Ward – that will be published in Spring 2012.
